My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in personalized instruction and student-centered pedagogy. I begin by assessing each student’s current understanding to identify strengths, gaps, and patterns in their thinking. From there, I adjust my instruction to match how they process and retain information most effectively. I prioritize conceptual understanding over memorization, ensuring students can apply knowledge across different contexts.

Sessions incorporate guided practice, real-life examples, and structured review to support deeper learning and retention. I also integrate executive functioning strategies such as organization, planning, and study skills when needed. My goal is to help students become confident, independent learners who understand how they learn best and can apply that awareness beyond our sessions.
